Woooooshh

As I was driving with the kids to pick up my computer from the Geek Squad (Long Story Don't Ask) I hear this cheerful little voice say "Momma". It was Hannah. I'm still new to her clearer voice. I glance in the review mirror and say.

"What Hannah?"

"Woooooshh Woooshh Wooosh!" She says. It sounds like a cappuccino machine whipping up froth milk.

I giggled. "Ok, Hannah. Woooooshh Woooshh Wooosh!" She has been experienmenting with sounds since the recent operation and this is one of her new favourite. I know it doesn't mean get coffee because that is not her thing. I think I figured it out though, it makes Robert, Gabriel and I laugh. She is trying to get us to laugh and of course we repeat it back which amuses her.

She must of thought the moment needed a release or at least her brother needed a break from the barrage of questions I gave him about his first day of First grade.

When my daughter was about 2, she recognized the Starbucks symbol (and in our part of LA, that's something she saw a lot). Then she discovered how effective and entertaining it was to say "Mommy want coffee?" every time she saw it. Sigh! Now tomorrow she's starting third grade.

Hannah might just be trying the same game!

Around here a person might get teased a bit when the current hurricane is named their name.....any possibility Woosh, Woosh, is the beginning of Hurricane Hannah West? More video please! We want to hear her, too!

LOL Penny,

I'm not the coffee drinker Robert is. But I totally relate. When Gabriel was little he had all his Thomas the trains stopping by buildings to order Lattes!

Oh No Barbara,

I hope everything is going ok for you. Yeah, I did mention that there was a tropical storm named after her to Hannah. I'll work on the recording stuff.

No worry for me, Janette. We are on the edge of hurricane land, and did not even receive coveted rain from Gustav - although several thousand evacuated to here and are slowly returning home this week. However, you might catch up with Bird on the Street - who had to leave LA for AR and her Charlie is in hosp there.
